CHARACTERISTICS OF THOSE WHO HATE PASTORS' WIVES AND FEMALE MINISTERS

Follow characteristics, they are symptoms of certain behaviours of people either in your leadership circle or around you. These characteristics will help you know who is against you and who is with you and what to do when you observe those characteristics.

BEHOLD THAT WHICH I HAVE SEEN, ... Ecclesiastics 5:18 KJV

You can use these characteristics to detect those who hate you and why they hate you; those who oppose you and why they do so and those who criticise you, why they criticise you and their mode of operations.

You can use these characteristics to supervise them especially those who are in your leadership circle.

Remember, not all people will love and support you.

WOE UNTO YOU, WHEN ALL MEN SHALL SPEAK WELL OF YOU! ... Luke 6:26 KJV

1. DECEITFULNESS

They are deceitful and camouflaging in nature - always laughing with you when their hearts are embittered towards you. 

Proverbs 26:24-26; Amp.

24. ENEMIES DISGUISE THEMSELVES WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT IN THEIR HEARTS THEY HARBOR DECEIT. 

25, Though THEIR SPEECH IS CHARMING, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM, for seven abominations fill their hearts. 

26. THEIR MALICE MAY BE CONCEALED BY DECEPTION, BUT THEIR WICKEDNESS WILL BE EXPOSED IN THE ASSEMBLY. Amplified Bible

2 Corinthians 11:13; Amp.

For such people are false apostles, DECEITFUL WORKERS, MASQUERADING AS APOSTLES OF CHRIST.

Jeremiah 9:6; Amp.

YOU LIVE IN THE MIDST OF DECEPTION; in their deceit they refuse to acknowledge me,” declares the LORD.

Psalm 36:3; Amp.

The words of THEIR MOUTHS ARE WICKED AND DECEITFUL; they fail to act wisely or do good.

Those who hate you and are ready to malign your project make all possible efforts to laugh and showcase love but conceal their bitterness in the deceitful laughter and showcasing of their love. If you're attentive, you will know when they mean it and when they're faking it. They will always pose as workers in His glory where as they are great destroyers. Stay miles away from them and be wise else they will perfect their plans before you will know it.

2. PRETENCE

Psalm 81:15. New American Standard Version

THOSE WHO HATE THE LORD WOULD PRETEND obedience to Him, And their time of punishment would be forever.

Those who hate you will pretend to be the best option for you. They are eye 

-service people, pretending to be good whereas they are deadly.

They may be sincerely good at the initial stage of your relationship with them but suddenly they will change owing to certain internal or external influences.

Luke 22:3-6 kJV

3. THEN ENTERED SATAN INTO JUDAS SURNAMED ISCARIOT, being of the number of the twelve.

4. And he went his way, and communed with the chief priests and captains, how he might betray him unto them.

5. And they were glad, and covenanted to give him money.

6. And he promised, and sought opportunity to betray him unto them in the absence of the multitude.

Judas Iscariot was good but suddenly changed to the opposite. He was one of these haters of Jesus Christ but he pretended to be one of the best options for Him. He pretended to be the most faithful disciple of Jesus Christ whereas he was making serious plans on how to take away the life of his master.

In his pretence, he offered even a KISS to Jesus Christ but Him being a Man from above knew Judas Iscariot from his pretentious symptoms.

3. SLUGGISHNESS TO OBEYING DIRECTIVES

They are always thinking you're aware of their plans thus they are not free and won't be free in their association with you. Out of their longstanding bitterness, they operate sluggishly at obeying your directives. They will choose to function with you but unwillingly. In them, they are saying you're a small girl. How can they operate under a small girl hence they tend to be sluggish in their dealings with you.

Ezekiel 29:3; Amp

Speak and say, ‘Thus says the Lord God,“BEHOLD, I AM AGAINST YOU, Pharaoh king of Egypt,THE GREAT MONSTER THAT LIES in the midst of his rivers, [Boastfully] declaring, ‘My Nile is my own, and I have made it for myself.’

Luke 24:25; Amp.

Then JESUS SAID TO THEM, “O FOOLISH MEN, AND SLOW OF HEART TO TRUST AND BELIEVE in everything that the prophets have spoken!

Concerning this we have much to say, and it is hard to explain, since YOU HAVE BECOME DULL AND SLUGGISH in [your spiritual] hearing AND DISINCLINED TO LISTEN. 

4. DISOBEDIENCE

They're ready to tell it to your face that they're not interested at obeying your directives. They will tell you that they're doing what they're doing just because of your Pastor-Husband. They're proud people and would find it difficult to obey to do whatever you're telling them to do. They're not interested at knowing whom you're because their hearts have been seared with a very hot iron.

Leviticus 26:14; NASB

‘But if YOU DO NOT OBEY ME AND DO NOT CARRY OUT ALL THESE COMMANDMENTS,

Romans 2:8; NASB

but to THOSE WHO ARE SELFISHLY AMBITIOUS AND DO NOT OBEY THE TRUTH, but obey unrighteousness, wrath and indignation.

Romans 10:21; NASB

But as for Israel He says, “All the day long I HAVE STRETCHED OUT MY HANDS TO A DISOBEDIENT AND OBSTINATE PEOPLE.”

5. DISLOYALTY

This is the act or thought of not being submissive or subject to a person or her leaderships or cause. This also implies deliberate breaking of faith or of one's pledges and promises, on which others are relying. Treachery implies being secretly traitorous but seeming friendly and loyal: In treachery deceit is added to disloyalty. 

The act of DISLOYALTY is a sign that they don't believe on you and your cause.

Deuteronomy 32:51; NASB.

because YOU BROKE FAITH WITH ME in the midst of the sons of Israel at the waters of Meribah-kadesh, in the wilderness of Zin, because you did not treat Me as holy in the midst of the sons of Israel.

1 Samuel 22:16-17

But the king said, “You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father’s household!” And THE KING SAID TO THE GUARDS WHO WERE ATTENDING HIM, “TURN AROUND AND PUT THE PRIESTS OF THE LORD TO DEATH, because their hand also is with David and because they knew that he was fleeing and did not reveal it to me.” BUT THE SERVANTS OF THE KING WERE NOT WILLING to put forth their hands to attack the priests of the Lord.

Now the rest of the acts of Joash and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah? HIS SERVANTS AROSE AND MADE A CONSPIRACY AND STRUCK DOWN JOASH AT THE HOUSE OF MILLO AS HE WAS GOING DOWN TO SILLA.

Be careful with this set of people who are disloyal to you. Cast them out of your cause without delay. If you leave them, they will become a little yeast that corrupts and leavens the whole lump.

Galatians 5:9; Amp.

A little leaven [A SLIGHT INCLINATION TO ERROR, or a few false teachers] leavens the whole batch [it PERVERTS THE CONCEPT OF FAITH AND MISLEADS THE CHURCH].

6.THEY DISLIKE BEING AROUND YOU

Another symptom of those who are against you is a dislike for being with you. They detest being around you for any reason. Even when you love them and would want to do them favour, they will still choose to be far from you. They prefer being without you to being with you. They hate seeing your footprints and all things that concern you hence being around you angers them the more. They prefer a distant relationship to intimacy.

Psalm 88:8; NASB

YOU HAVE REMOVED MY ACQUAINTANCES FAR FROM ME; You have made me an object of loathing to them; I am shut up and cannot go out.

Luke 6:22; NASB

BLESSED ARE YOU WHEN MEN HATE YOU, AND OSTRACIZE YOU, and insult you, and scorn your name as evil, for the sake of the Son of Man.

7. CONFRONTATIONAL

They will confront you to let you know you're nothing before them. They will build up their boldness against you even when they're wrong. They will argue to prove a stupid point to let people know that you're worth nothing. Don't engage them in an argument, they are looking for that opportunity.

Below are positive confrontations from the Bible.

PAUL CONFRONTED PETER when he said "THERE IS NEITHER JEW NOR GREEK IN CHRIST; WE ARE ALL ONE. (Galatians 3:28).

JOSEPH CONFRONTED HIS BROTHERS after they sold him into slavery, when he said to them, "WHAT DEED IS THIS THAT YOU HAVE DONE?” (Genesis 44:14-15; Genesis 45:3)

MOSES CONFRONTED PHARAOH when he said to him “LET MY PEOPLE GO” (Exodus 5:1-5).

ELIJAH CONFRONTED KING AHAB when he said “'I HAVE NOT MADE TROUBLE FOR ISRAEL,’ Elijah replied. 'But you and your father's family have. You have abandoned the Lord's commands and have followed the Baals’” (1 Kings 18: 16-18).

8. RUMOUR MONGERING AND GOSSIP

If you observe them well, you will always see them pointing fingers at your direction. They are fond of saying one thing or the other at everything that passes having your form. Gossip is their nature and they won't change from it. 

Psalm 109:3; NASB

THEY HAVE ALSO SURROUNDED ME WITH WORDS OF HATRED, And fought against me without cause.

Psalm 41:7; NASB

ALL WHO HATE ME WHISPER TOGETHER AGAINST ME;

Against me they devise my hurt, saying,

9. BLACKMAILING

See this blackmail below, it's one in town. If you don't expect it and build your courage towards it you will break down when it finally comes.

Below was an aspersion on a Pastor's Wife projected to weigh her down, make her spirit weak and collapse her marriage. This was a disastrous distraction. If this had not been managed properly and naturedly by the Pastor himself, it would have led to a sorry state - a story that touches the heart would have erupted.

ASPERSION:

PASTOR: I received a call on Friday, 22nd October, 2021; 12:29pm and the call lasted for 3 minutes 53 seconds while we were on our way to pay a condolence visit on a certain Bishop's wife. We were already at Location junction, Port-Harcourt, Rivers State before the call came through phone number xxxxxxx telling me to warn my wife to stay away from her husband. She went further to tell me that my wife already had a baby for one other of her boy friend whom she still dates till date. She further stated that my wife has continued to boast that she is beautiful and hot looking therefore would continue dating her husband.

The above number still sent me text messages by 8:41pm of 22nd and 12:53am/12:42pm of 23rd all of October, 2021; that read as below;

22th October, 2021; 8:41pm:

"Pastor, pls tell ur wife to stay on her lane and leave married men alone. She has been cheating on u. She started sleeping with my husband from the 20th of December 2020. They had an appointment on d 25th of September 2021 but their plans leaked. She appologised to me but recently resorted to insulting me. Bragging that she is sweet and sexy and she won't leave my husband alone. She even bragged to bring a son she had for him. My marriage is 28 years old and with 4 children in equal proportion. I have produced two graduates and my last child is in 400 level in the university. Please, please and please, warn her before it's too late. She should concentrate on *."

23rd October, 2021; 12:53am:

"My husband came to collect my car engine that came from Lagos at Waterline and ur wife flagged him down. They exchanged phone numbers and the relationship started. Ask her to tell you what has been happening between her and an Obosi man whom she claims to know in the 1990s through her boyfriend ####. She doesn't answer my call in d house. She now claims to be Agbala nwanyi and no man resists her canal knowledge. She even chose a hotel where they meet because my husband is not conversant with Ikwere road axis."

23rd October, 2021; 12:42pm:

Gud morning Pastor. I hope you ve read all my messages to know how serious d case is. Pls act fast b4 it is late.

27th October, 2021; 5:34pm:

Pastor, pls flash me and I will call you let us talk on this abominable act of a pastor,s wife. Her name is xxxx.

10. OPPOSITIONAL

They will oppose your decisions no matter how good they appear.

John 19:12; NASB

As a result of this Pilate made efforts to release Him, but the Jews cried out saying, “If you release this Man, you are no friend of Caesar; EVERYONE WHO MAKES HIMSELF OUT TO BE A KING OPPOSES CAESAR.”

They will oppose you and your decision because of their quest for quicker fame.

Psalm 38:20; NASB

And those who repay evil for good, THEY OPPOSE ME, BECAUSE I FOLLOW WHAT IS GOOD.

Ezekiel 23:24; NASB

And THEY WILL COME AGAINST YOU WITH WEAPONS, chariots, and wagons, AND WITH A CONTINGENT OF PEOPLES. THEY WILL ATTACK YOU ON EVERY SIDE with shield, buckler, and helmet; and I will commit the judgment to them, and they will judge you according to their

11. CONSTANT LATENESS TO OR ABSENCE FROM YOUR PROGRAMS

Those who hate you will rather decide to be absent from your meetings or come late so you can see how revealing their anger and hatred towards you are. They stay away from whatever you're involved in. They are coming from a polluted minds group. 

12. ALWAYS SICK WHEN YOU NEED THEM

Deuteronomy 1:26-27

Yet YOU WERE NOT WILLING TO GO UP, BUT REBELLED AGAINST THE COMMAND ... and YOU GRUMBLED IN YOUR TENTS.

They feign sickness whenever you need them. Because they have been newly recruited into the camp of your haters and they have not grown wild enough to say no to you; hence they will not be bold enough to tell you they won't come when you call them but will choose to feign sickness so you won't pick offence against them. At this stage, they're still closer and have not been taken too far from you. You can recover them at this stage if your attention is at what is happening.

13. CRITICAL AND ANALYTICAL TO YOUR OPINIONS

A critical person is one who sees nothing good in your opinions.  He/she will always put your decisions in between lines for scrutiny. They will see the mighty works God is doing using you yet they will criticise and posit that you're not doing anything. They will tend to judge you from their failure point of view.

Do not bother yourself about these critical fellows, they can't tow your route either. They are mere failures who are hopeless about their own future. Give them that same work for which they're criticising you, you will certainly discover that they can't do anything rather than discouraging others from doing it.

Dear woman of God, accept criticism, it's part of your calling but don't respond to them. It will shape you and the future of your assignment. Can you successfully do this work without having these critical fellows within your camp? How possible is it?

Don't answer them. Do not even behave as if you heard a comment from them. Keep mute to all they say. Don't even discuss any of their comments in any of your meetings. Doing so will amount to running campaigns and spreading their comments for them. You're not their advertiser.

They will make every possible efforts to trap you hinging on what you said. Though, you may learn something from them if you're clever.

Unto the pure all things are pure: but UNTO THEM THAT ARE DEFILED AND UNBELIEVING IS NOTHING PURE; BUT EVEN THEIR MIND AND CONSCIENCE IS DEFILED.

The major intention of these people is to poison your heart against your opinion or the heart of others against your opinion or success

14. THEY AVOID HAVING A DIRECT CONTACT WITH YOUR EYES

Genesis 3:8-10; NIV

Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the LORD God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and THEY HID FROM THE LORD GOD AMONG THE TREES OF THE GARDEN.

But the LORD God called to the man, "Where are you?"

He answered, "I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I WAS NAKED; SO I HID."

15. DISHONESTY

Wikipedia describes Dishonesty as the opposite of honesty—it’s the act or practice of being intentionally deceptive or not fully truthful in some way.

When a person is accused of dishonesty, it usually means they are frequently or habitually untruthful—that they tend to lie often or that they often hide or leave out part of the truth.

These people built their courage to the extent of coming to defraud you. They are dishonest in all their ways and dealings with you. They are always looking for an access to defraud you. Be wise and watch them keenly.

Jeremiah 22:17

But YOUR EYES AND YOUR HEART ARE INTENT ONLY UPON YOUR OWN DISHONEST GAIN, ...

Romans 1:29

BEING FILLED WITH ALL UNRIGHTEOUSNESS, WICKEDNESS, GREED, evil; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, malice; they are gossips,

16. THEY WILL TAKE YOU FOR GRANTED BECAUSE THEY ARE FAMILIAR WITH ALL YOU CAN DO

Familiarity is a sudden destroyer and despiser. They will take you for granted because they already know you inside out. They know you don't spring up surprises hence they take you for granted. Your words or cautions don't amount to anything to them because you've shown them all you are in your relationship with them.

17. THEY ARE FAULT FINDERS AND CRITICS

Galatians 5:15; GOD'S WORD® Translation.

But if YOU CRITICIZE AND ATTACK EACH OTHER, be careful that you don't destroy each other.

Daniel 6:4

THEN THE COMMISSIONERS AND SATRAPS BEGAN TRYING TO FIND A GROUND OF ACCUSATION AGAINST DANIEL IN REGARD TO GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS; ...

They will go into a research for your sake to have a common ground to criticize you. Do not give them that loophole to accuse you or your ministry.

They will always criticize you, those whom you represent and those who represent you just to project you in a bad light and discredit you. Be wise!

18. THEY WILL DESPISE YOUR REPROOF

Proverbs 1:30

THEY REJECTED MY ADVICE AND PAID NO ATTENTION WHEN I CORRECTED THEM. NLT

Would have none of my counsel and DESPISED ALL MY REPROOF, ESV

19. They will make fun on their faces or twist same in opposition in your ministration.

These are personal facial mannerisms with which they are known but they use it against you to drive home their hearts.

20. THEY WILL DISGUISE THEMSELVES WITH SHARP AND CONVINCING OR INTELLECTUAL SPEECHES

Proverbs 26:24-26; NIV

ENEMIES DISGUISE THEMSELVES WITH THEIR LIPS, BUT IN THEIR HEARTS THEY HARBOR DECEIT.

THOUGH THEIR SPEECH IS CHARMING, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM, for seven abominations fill their hearts.

THEIR MALICE MAY BE CONCEALED BY DECEPTION, but their wickedness will be exposed in the assembly.

21. THEY WILL MISTREAT YOU

Dear woman of God, anybody who do not know your value is bound to mistreat you. Do not be unhappy, just keep doing what you're called to do for in due season, the Lord will favour you.

1 Thessalonians 2:2

but after WE HAD ALREADY SUFFERED AND BEEN MISTREATED in Philippi, as you know, we had the boldness in our God to speak to you the gospel of God amid much opposition.

22. THEY WILL SEVERE YOUR RELATIONSHIPS

Proverbs 16:28

A PERVERSE MAN SPREADS STRIFE, AND A SLANDERER SEPARATES INTIMATE FRIENDS.

They make every possible efforts to ensure they severe your other relationships to keep you stranded and alone.  They cook up unfathomable stories to discredit you before those who value you and those who show up to help you. 

23. THEY WILL POLUTE THE MINDS OF YOUR LOVERS AND ENFORCE YOUR FRIENDS AGAINST YOU.

Ezekiel 16:37

therefore, behold, I WILL GATHER ALL YOUR LOVERS WITH WHOM YOU TOOK PLEASURE, EVEN ALL THOSE WHOM YOU LOVED and all those whom you hated. So I WILL GATHER THEM AGAINST YOU FROM EVERY DIRECTION and expose your nakedness to them that they may see all your nakedness.
